When people ask about his fitness routine, Van Dyke doesn't make it sound complicated. “I've always exercised three days a week.” That's the big secret. Not seven days a week. Not four-hour workouts. Many of Van Dyke's workouts begin with abdominal exercises. It's probably not the slide people were hoping for. Nobody wants to hear that a century of good health starts with core work. But balance, stability, and mobility become increasingly important as people get older, and strong core muscles help with all three.
