Natalie Portman

Dropped a role, picked up a lawsuit

Natalie Portman was sued by indie producers after pulling out of the film Love and Other Impossible Pursuits. The filmmakers claimed her exit breached the contract and caused delays that nearly tanked the project. The suit was later dropped after Portman rejoined the cast—but the messy situation proved even Oscar winners can’t always walk away clean.

Left the role, but the legal fallout stayed

After allegations of misconduct, Kevin Spacey was dropped from House of Cards and other projects.
