Sibling Superstardom
Hollywood may sparkle with solo stars, but sibling pairs (or trios) bring a unique kind of chemistry that often lights up screens in memorable ways. From Disney Channel’s twin antics to Hollywood blockbusters and quirky family sitcoms, real-life brothers and sisters have entertained us in tandem, sometimes even with a dose of rivalry or sibling sass.
Cole & Dylan Sprouse
These identical twins truly launched their careers together. First playing the same baby in Grace Under Fire and later co-starring in The Suite Life of Zack & Cody and its spin-off Suite Life on Deck, they practically grew up in tandem. Fun fact: Dylan left acting to study video game design and opened a meadery, while Cole pursued archaeology at NYU before returning to acting on Riverdale.

Tia, Tamera, & Tahj Mowry
Tia and Tamera snatched hearts as Sister, Sister twins, while their brother Tahj popped up in a few episodes and later headlined Smart Guy. Together they’re a masterclass in family synergy.

Dave & James Franco
Dave and James kept their distance early on—Dave didn’t want to just be “James Franco’s little brother”. But they finally teamed up in The Disaster Artist, where they portrayed the real-life oddball duo from the cult film The Room. Sibling rivalry… resolved on film?
Jussie & Jurnee Smollett
On the sitcom On Our Own, all six Smollett siblings starred—and Jussie reunited with Jurnee later in the meaningful drama Underground. He said it was "awesome" to act with his sister on a show with real impact.
Nick, Joe, & Kevin Jonas
These brothers turned musical fame into acting gigs. They played themselves on Hannah Montana, starred in Camp Rock (and its sequel), led their own Jonas series, and even voiced cherubs in Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian.
Elle & Dakota Fanning
Elle got her start playing the younger version of Dakota’s characters—like in I Am Sam. Though they haven’t shared the screen in a more substantial way yet, they lent their voices together in My Neighbor Totoro’s English dub—and are reportedly set to actually play siblings in an upcoming adaptation of The Nightingale.
John & Joan Cusack
A prolific brother-sister pairing, they’ve appeared together in at least 10 films: Sixteen Candles, High Fidelity, War, Inc., and more. Clearly, Cusack family dinner table = movie set.
Matt, Joey, & Andrew Lawrence
The Lawrence brothers starred in Brotherly Love, the sitcom Jumping Ship, and even guest‑starred on each other’s TV shows (Melissa & Joey, etc.). They later formed a band in 2017 called Still Three. Disney Channel’s favorite trio for the win.
Brandy & Ray J Norwood
Brandy welcomed Ray J onto Moesha for three seasons, then they both starred on One on One and their own VH1 reality show Brandy and Ray J: A Family Business. They’ve also recorded music together, blending acting and singing talents like musical siblings should.
Marlon & Shawn Wayans
Marlon and Shawn teamed up for hilarious projects like the Scary Movie films, Little Man, and White Chicks, where they swapped FBI badges and personas in a wild undercover comedy. A duo that knows how to bring ridiculous and still make it gold.

Zooey & Emily Deschanel
They haven’t co-starred often, but Zooey guest-starred on Bones as a distant cousin of Emily’s character. That counts—because family farces count too.
Alyson & Amanda Michalka
AKA Aly & AJ, these sisters starred as siblings in Disney’s Cow Belles and have released albums together. If sibling acting doesn’t work out—they’ve got music to fall back on. Born performers.
Max & Charlie Carver
The Carver twins popped up together in Desperate Housewives, then played werewolves on Teen Wolf, and starred in The Leftovers—their on-screen careers synced across genres. They’re really the masters of twin dynamics.

Luke & Owen Wilson
Both debuted in Wes Anderson’s Bottle Rocket, and later reunited in The Royal Tenenbaums and Around the World in 80 Days. Shared Anderson projects? Now that’s a family auteur connection.
