The Tallest Actors In Hollywood
Not all actors stand on equal footing—literally. Movie magic can make anyone look larger than life, but a few Hollywood stars don’t need camera tricks to loom over the crowd. In fact, some of these towering celebs might surprise you when they step off the screen.
Jason Momoa: 6'4"
Aquaman actor Jason Momoa is pretty well-known as a big guy. Still, at 6'4" he's kind of shorter than we thought he would be. But maybe that's because his ex Lisa Bonet is tiny at only 5'2", so all the pictures we've seen show more than a foot height difference.
Michael Richards: 6'3''
Ask anyone off the street, and they'll probably tell you that the most memorable character from the sitcom Seinfeld was none other than Michael Richards' Kramer. In the role, Richards used all 6 feet and 3 inches of his body to bring some of the biggest laughs to the show.

Chris Hemsworth: 6'3"
As you might expect from someone who plays a literal Norse god on screen, Chris Hemsworth is a strapping 6 feet 3 inches. We can't wait to see every inch of him in the new Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga film as the evil Dr. Dementus.
Ben Affleck: 6'4"
It makes sense that Batman actor Ben Affleck is 6'4", at least on paper. Playing Bruce Wayne probably requires some amount of stature. But even so, each time we look at Ben, we don't necessarily see a tall man. But hey, the numbers don't lie.
Hugh Jackman: 6'3"
he Marvel Cinematic Universe seems to have a thing for skyscraper-sized actors, and Hugh Jackman fits right in. The Deadpool & Wolverine star stands tall at 6'3"—and, like Chris Hemsworth, hails from Australia. Seriously, what are they putting in the water down there?
Joonas Suotamo: 6'11''
Joonas Suotamo isn't the most famous name on this list, but he does play one of the most iconic characters. The Finnish actor and former basketball player stars as Chewbacca in the new Star Wars films, and is 6'11". Peter Mayhew, who played Chewbacca before his death in 2019, was 7'3".
Will Ferrell: 6'3"
Some tall actors don't look tall, but that's not the case with Will Ferrell. You take one look at his long limbs, especially in something like his classic Elf, and you just know he's above six feet. You'd be right: Will Ferrell is 6'3".
Donald Sutherland: 6'4"
This one gets filed under "We had no idea!" Donald Sutherland, AKA Coriolanus Snow in the Hunger Games movies (and father of Kiefer Sutherland), is 6 foot 4 inches.
Jared Padalecki: 6'4"
Ever since he broke out as Rory's heart-of-gold boyfriend Dean on Gilmore Girls, it's been obvious that the 6'4" Jared Padalecki is tall. That was also the case when he starred next to Jensen Ackles in Supernatural. Incredibly, though, Ackles is 6'1" and (literally) no slouch himself in that department, which shows you just how tall Padalecki is.
Tim Robbins: 6'5"
TTim Robbins has built one of Hollywood’s most impressive careers, with The Shawshank Redemption and Mystic River standing tall among his many hits. But the famously low-key actor keeps such a low profile that fans rarely see him outside the screen—so most people have no idea he’s actually 6'5" in real life.
Chevy Chase: 6'4"
Legendary comedian Chevy Chase has remained relatively low profile since even his later days starring as part of the ensemble cast of Community, so you might forget just how tall he is. 6'4", according to reports.
Alexander Skarsgård: 6'4"
Alexander Skarsgård just looks so tall, and those Swedish good looks certainly help complete the picture. At 6'4", it's no wonder he's been chosen for projects like The Northman and Tarzan that make use of his imposing stature as well as his talents.
John Lithgow: 6'4''
3rd Rock from the Sun didn't just give us Joseph Gordon-Levitt, it also gave us John Lithgow, who is 6'4" and an incredibly tall man. Some might even say otherworldly?
James Cromwell: 6'7''
"That'll do pig, that'll do" was such an iconic line from Babe, it's hard not to look at James Cromwell, who played Farmer Hoggett, and think of it. But did you know that Cromwell is a whopping 6'7"? He's actually the tallest actor to ever be nominated for an Academy Award (which he also got for Babe).

Vince Vaughn has never shied away from using his 6'5" frame for laughs—especially when towering over his much shorter co-stars. Case in point: his unforgettable chemistry with 5'3" Isla Fisher in Wedding Crashers, where the height gap became part of the comedy gold.
John Krasinski: 6'3"
John Krasinski isn't someone most people think of when they think of tall actors, but did you know he's 6'3"? Then again, if you ever watched him in Jack Ryan kicking butt, you might have suspected he was taller than he initially looks.

Dev Patel: 6'2"
Dev Patel's action movie Monkey Man was his directorial debut (and was also written by the actor), and throughout the movie's intense fight scenes, you can see that Patel packs a punch. As he should: He's 6'2".
John Corbett: 6'5''
Carrie Bradshaw had so many different men on SATC, but John Corbett, who played her love Aidan Shaw, is probably the tallest at 6 feet 5 inches. In fact, he's a full three inches taller than the show's "Mr. Big," Chris Noth, who is 6'2".
Tom Selleck: 6'4"
Tom Selleck became a household name thanks to Magnum P.I., and he’s still the definition of old-school Hollywood charm. But behind that mustache and charisma is another standout feature—his height. At 6'4", Selleck doesn’t just command the screen, he practically towers over it.

With Daniel Radcliffe (5'5") and Rupert Grint (5'8"), the Harry Potter movies aren't necessarily known for producing the tallest stars. But Alfred Enoch, who played Dean Thomas (the Gryffindor Chaser on the Quidditch team) is an exception to the rule at 6'4".

Borat star Sacha Baron Cohen can get big laughs, and not always for his big physicality. Nonetheless, he stands at 6 feet 3 inches.
