If Clara Bow looks familiar, she was one of the main inspirations for the character Betty Boop. With her tomboy charms and expressive face, Bow took Old Hollywood by storm. 

She was one of the most iconic “It” Girls of her day. In fact, she practically invented the term. And Bow didn’t just play fun flapper roles—she was actually one herself. 

But sadly, the glitz and glamor of Tinseltown quickly turned sour, and the starlet suffered a downfall that was as tragic as it was legendary.
