Bobby Darin had a life full of triumphs and mysteries. From his humble beginnings and bone-shaking family secrets to his meteoric rise as a singer and actor, it was one wild—and tragically short—ride.

Darin had a burning desire to make something of himself. This ambition was often fueled by his disgust at his own insecurity, which made rejection even harder to deal with. But then, it happened: Darin had an overnight hit with “Splish Splash,” which sold more than a million copies in the blink of an eye. 

The hit propelled Darin to a level of stardom he couldn’t even have dreamed of—but as it turns out, no amount of attention could erase the darkness inside of the beloved singer.
