These Were The 100 Most Googled Things In May 2025

Google What?

The big "G" search engine has become so ubiquitous in our lives that "Google" has become a verb. Want to know something? Just Google it. Want to find something? You could type in the web address—or (as many of us do, even when we know the address) just Google it. So, what was America and the world Googling in May of 2025?

Well, these were the top 100 search items in both the United States and the world this past month. And while there are quite a few differences between the US and international searches—the top search for the month was the same on both lists. Any guesses?

A printing press technician checks an issue of the Berlin-Brandenburg edition of Bild Zeitung tabloid at the Axel Springer printing press on January 10, 2012 in Berlin, Germany. Bild Zeitung, which is Germany's most influential and biggest-circulation tabloid, has pitted itself against German President Christian Wulff after the paper published a story about his personal finance conduct while Wulff was governor of Lower Saxony. Wulff has admitted telephoning Bild Editor-in-Chief Kai Diekmann before the story broke, though Wulff claims he only sought to postpone publication of the story by one day, and not prevent publication, as Bild alledges. The affair has since taken on further dimensions and many critics are calling for Wulff's resignation. Sean Gallup, Getty Images
